Every year, North West London Sikhs lays a wreath to honour the fallen heroes of the two World Wars and beyond. We pay tribute to their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting freedom and standing against oppression.
Among them, we solemnly remember our 83,000 Sikh brethren who fought valiantly to the end and 109,000 more who were maimed or injured during World Wars I and II. Their bravery in the face of unimaginable danger should never be forgotten, nor should their sacrifices be in vain.
By participating in Remembrance Day commemorations, we ensure that Sikh contributions to world history are recognised and respected. As a community, we stand together in remembrance, reflecting on their legacy and ensuring that future generations understand their heroism and selfless duty.
